Est date for xfer to Nanaimo;PM: I remember when 604 was broadsided by a speeding
car on Pat Bay Highway back in the early 1990s.
The car was air born and hit the bus ABOVE the
rub Rail and caught fire. The Rooky (At the time)
Transit Driver pulled the bus away from where the
burning car was resting since he had passengers
on board and ran back and pulled at least one
person from the burning wrecked car. The car had
been traveling over 100 km per hour on inpact.
I think it was a Firebird or Trans Am. Anyways,
the bus did not have much damage at all and was
fixed and returned to service some months later.
